The subsidy will accelerate labor-saving measures in logistics and manufacturing.
Kawasaki, Kanagawa – LexxPluss Inc., a provider of robotics and automation solutions, is pleased to announce that its autonomous mobile robot (AMR) Lexx500 has been included in the catalog for the “SME Labor-Saving Investment Subsidy” by the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan, as of October 1, 2024.
The catalog listing is available here.
The SME Labor-Saving Investment Subsidy is a government initiative aimed at enhancing productivity and value-added capabilities in small and medium enterprises by supporting the adoption of IoT and robotic solutions. Companies can select products from the “Product Catalog” that contribute to increased productivity and wage growth. Both Lexx500 and LexxTug are recognized as labor-saving solutions in the “Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV/AMR)” category.
In logistics and manufacturing sites, approximately 15–22% of work time is typically spent on transport tasks (LexxPluss internal survey). Given the challenges of labor shortages and rising wages due to inflation and the 2024 labor issue, there is an urgent need to automate simple tasks and allocate personnel to higher-value work. However, selecting automation equipment, defining requirements, and covering initial implementation costs have posed barriers to automation adoption.
With this subsidy, small and medium enterprises considering automation can apply, and if approved, may receive up to 50% of initial costs, reducing the financial burden of implementation.
LexxPluss offers the automated LexxTug cart-pulling solution to support initial investment reduction. LexxTug enables automated attachment and transport of carts without modifications. In logistics and manufacturing sites where carts are already in use, this solution enhances labor efficiency and overall value.
LexxPluss is seeking team members to help accelerate the evolution toward autonomous industrial infrastructure.
